Why thank-you. I started life as a blonde but my hair was black by the age of six. Maybe it was all that hair-oil my mother used to plaster me with

This was my first trip to the city, I was dazed and confused and that woolen coat prickled. We sometimes forget how sensitive all children's senses are.

You were way ahead of the times with your hair and looks. You could have walked right out of any gay 90s mag. A little older maybe. Great pic.

I occassionally walk past my old primary school at Annandale. It seemed so huge, now it seems so pokey.

To achieve this look; douse hair with copious amounts of cold water. When cold water begins to run down back of neck, plaster with thick yellow hair-oil called "Spruso". Using a comb or plasterer's lathe, whip into soft confectionary peaks.Stand child in cold exposed corner to set. When the neck has become stiff and immobile the hairstyle is ready for display.

I was twenty -eight before the concept "gay" finally forced its way into my consciousness. Come to think of it , there were a few adolescent fumbles but I would hardly claim to have been conscious during my adolescence.

How I would love to just sit and chat to that wide eyed boy!Jo :-)

vinyokadaesxl hat gesagt…

lmao! I will keep this in mind for future reference! :)

At that stage the wide -eyed boy wouldn't have been much use for chat as he misinterpreted half of what was said to him. I was partly deaf because of severe otitis media. This excruciating condition was a blight on my life (and my parents'lives) until I was seven. The wonder drug "pen-i-cill-in" and surgery finally improved things after years spent with my eardrums bursting on a regular basis.

That must have been an extrodinary start to life. Excrutiating yes, but it must have taught you things about the world and life that others could never know or experience?Jo :-D

Wow! You are so cute!

latriciqfeuacileyahoocom hat gesagt…

Just wondering. Do you feel that this condition has granted you certain quirks?

raiblirdcentral13 hat gesagt…

Yep, that's glue-ear among other syptom. It granted me a certain tendency to be solipsistic which I eventually grew out of and a happier personality when the constant pain stopped. Oh, and perhaps a more deviloped visual sense than most kids in my peer-group,

pauglaolyahoocom hat gesagt…

This was a condition we had hoped our son had, when his language skills began to lag. I am familiar with it because a friend' son had it, and the change that he experienced after his ears were drained and cleaned was quite noticeable.

so adorable. maybe all little boys looked similar back then, but that picture looks a bit like my uncle in childhood.

marcuswood4013yahoocom hat gesagt…

It never did completely clear up fo me, (something to do with the structure of my eustachian tubes), so occasionally I'll get a sudden piercing pain and those poor old , much ruptured drums will burst yet again. But it's very different when you're little. I remember that it was a very big deal that I was getting daily injections of the , then, new wonder drug penicillin. The early versions were really manufactured from mould, so I ended up with a spectacular mould allergy which has given me some pretty exciting, throat-closing moments over the years. Is it too early to assess how proufoundly autistic your little boy is? I understand early, intensive intervention is working wonders these days.best wishes to you and Ednoria.

In those days kids in Sydney were plainer and fairly homogenous,(Anglo/Irish). I think I was the pretty-boy of the class until darkly handsome Angelo Demetrios arrived and stole the heart of my first-love, Maureen O'Brien. This mini-Valentino was an early challenge to my fragile self-esteem.He, and Claude Tamplenizza were the first kids at our school who were actual immigrants. There were several Greeks who's families had been here for many years. The trickle rapidly became a huge wave, then other waves until we ended up in the multicultural Sydney of today. (It does still have its WASP enclaves, however.)
